Remember This?

Last year a 5 piece rock band from Finland made history by entering the Eurovision Song Contest and winning by miles. It was a massive wake up call to the world of Eurovision that bog standard pop music just wouldn't cut it anymore. After the contest they were dismissed by the rock establishment as wannabes and a stupid pop band. Of all the Eurovision career suicides this was the least deserved.

But in the frenzy of searches for other material after the contest, did you see Would You Love A Monsterman?


And how about possibly their finest hour, the stunning Blood Red Sandman?


And how about this one? I only found this a little while ago, Who's Your Daddy?


While their detractors are vicious, their defenders are relentless and devoted. I can only hope that the Eurovision 2007 entries take note of the lesson their victory should have taught.
