Change of Plans

I usually leave the angst ridden, self loathing posts for dA. This time is no different.

I can't get on MSN, Yahoo, AIM or ICQ at Dad's house. Unlike me he put up no resistance to Windows XP SP2 so his firewall has gone into overdrive and blocks everything. I'll try and sort it out but no promises.

Away

In Gloucester all week as I explained earlier. Sigamp won't be showing anything as I forgot to load my mp3 collection up. Fortunately my Dad's comp is more reliable than mine and the connection is a bit faster. Downloads completed so far are episodes 9 and 10 of Stratos 4.

There is one drawback though and it comes in the shape of a big blue E.

Alone With My Thoughts

And we all know how dangerous that is.

Anyway, off to Gloucester for half-term. I got a broadband connection superior to mine and apparantly Emma (my eldest sister) has a proper hard DDR pad so I'll have that to keep me busy. I'm also taking most of my Gamecube stuff so I can show my brother a thing or 2. If you think its pointless taking my controller when my brother has 4 already then you don't know how superstitious I am when it comes to controllers. I will usually only concede to being player 2/3/4 if I've got an official controller. In my opinion though, player 3 is the new player 1. I'm also taking my memory card as there are a few games we both have (and I'm taking my favourites over anyway).

So overall this is all gonna be packed into my bag (the black and red Jeep bag I'm always seen with)

Vitals
Clothes
Pants (no spotted ones)

Gaming Stuff
GC Memory Card
GC Official Controller
Mario Party 4
Sega Soccer Slam
ISS2
Tales of Symphonia
F-Zero GX
Wave Race Blue Storm
Lost Kingdoms

DVDs
Princess Mononoke (I will watch it eventually)

CDs
System of a Down - Mesmerize
Compilations 01+02

Misc
Phone and Charger
Lucky Dice
PC Gamepad

I'm probably gonna have to override my Dad's copy of Norton to get on Badjojo too.

2: Coldplay - Speed of Sound

Mental Imagery

I've got a deep moral decision to take. Problem is I can't think about it without laughing. I know its considered fasionable for certain types of people to show off what's keeping their privates private but generally I didn't think the female half of the species was included in any of those groups. Especially when the private-hider is white with black spots. Cute yes, cool no.

Funny? Hell yeah.

Dammit, dA is fully borked. I got a pretty impressive message centre to get through too.

Somewhere Else

Everyone has their ideal life. They have their plan for getting there, that chain of dreams that will lead to eternal happiness.

Everyone has their nightmare life. A series of disasters that can leave a person unable to live with themselves. Especially when those disasters are born out of their own mistakes.

I'm living my nightmare. A nightmare that sees me taunted by my dreams every time I close my eyes. I see my perfect life every night and I can't bear to live with the fact that I can never live that life.

People like this piss me off. You say americans are narrow minded? No-one is more narrow minded than a british teenage punk fan. Allow me to pick out a few choice quotes from this guy's blog.

"With all the shitty Japanese Anemie cartoons on the TV"
At least learn to spell. I bet you couldn't name 5 anime's on UK TV at the moment if you tried.

"Have you ever wanted to do something about how stupid or impotent the Americans seem? Then blow up the White House!"
I think this one speaks for itself.

"Fed up with the way our nations are run? Show it by starting a riot! This will not only show your true Socialist/ Anarchist/ Communist views, but it will also disrupt you're city's authority and economy."
I bet this guy gets beaten up by his little sister all the time. He wouldn't have the nerve to start a riot.

"dude.... i hate all anemie cartoons such as Pokemon, Digemon, Yugio [i'm ashamed i even know its name] and of course the all clasic, Shittymon. Henti is pretty cool, well, it gets past the porn filters anyway....."
Well clearly you don't know their names. The 5 anime challenge is set. And hentai doesn't get past porn filters believe me I've tried.

Come on boyo, come on over to the real world with the rest of us and quit acting like a tough guy.

EDIT
Haha, just noticed this one.

"If you think you're qorthy of being on my 'Links' list, then email/post me you're site's URL!!!"
I couldn't make that one up.

Dreams

I posted a bit on dA about a dream I had a few days ago now. Due to increasing pressure I have decided to go into more detail.

So it starts with me lying in bed trying to get to sleep on a very wet and stormy night. Suddenly I hear someone banging on the door. I get out of bed to see who it is (note that in the dream I'm living alone) and find [name removed] standing on the doorstep soaking wet and in floods of tears. She comes in and I make her a cup of tea, while I'm in the kitchen she explains that her boyfriend has just tried to rape her. I pour out the tea and go into the front room to comfort her. She asks if she can stay at my place for the night. Of course I say yes. Fast forward 10 minutes and she goes to the toilet. After a few minutes I also need the toilet and go to wait outside the door. The door isn't closed and she's in there jerking herself off. She has a penis. If you've seen Cool Devices 2 then you'll know what follows. She breaks down in tears and admits that the rape story was a lie. She was thrown out by her boyfriend for being a freak. If you know me really, really, really well then you'll know that I count unwilling futas among the most huggable group of people imaginable. The dream ends with me and [name removed] side by side, cuddling.

That dream has been stored for future use as its one of the best dreams I've ever had. Just a plain feel good dream.

OTHER NEWS
Tsubasa Chronicle 7 is out.
The new series of Top Gear starts tonight.

Bloggerspotting

You know its really interesting the people who stop by your blog. I've seen all kinds of people stopping by w00tworld but no-one who's really grabbed my attention. I always check out the blogs of anyone who comments on here and Psychic-Advice who commented on the last post really caught my eye. I'm not a big believer in self proclaimed psychics but the idea of psychic ability has always interested me. When its incorporated into games and anime especially. It really helps to enhance a character in those scenarios. Sure I'll buy into someone like Derren Brown who does psychic stuff but constantly denies being a psychic but someone who introduces themselves as a psychic is just gonna get told to fuck off by me. Anyway check out Psychic-Ability's blog and make your own mind up.

http://psychiceventsanddailylife.blogspot.com

Gotta love an inventive blog name. Ouija too, that's a word you gotta love. It just rolls off the tongue. Also, star signs. No matter what your view on psychics and astrology you always know your star sign and never forget it. There's that sense of pride in being whatever you are (capricorn).

May's feature on Casino Casino is now online.

Think of the Neighbours

Its Eurovision. For this reason I won't be doing the usual Celebrity Wrestling commentary but I will post the latest scoreboard.

I'm backing Serbia and Montenegro to win as the UK don't stand a chance. The spanish entry is on now and its quite good actually. Wogan is in top form too.

EDIT
Israel's singer is good.

EDIT 2
Voting has started. 10 minutes to decide the winner. Get voting or alternatively bribe the nearest jury member for the eastern european countries. I'm still backing Serbia and Montenegro for the title.

EDIT 3
Greece won so its Athens for 2006. The UK got 20-30 points. I don't know exactly as I got bored and realised Casino was on Challenge.

Medical Anomaly

Those 3 little words that send fear into the hearts of anyone who sees them.

To Be Continued...

Yep, pulled in the present day and now pulled in 1941. Its another 2 part episode of Doctor Who and this time they really left it at a cliffhanger. The Doctor, Rose and an American dumbass are trapped in a corner. The enemies this time are truly disturbing and Richard Wilson put an awesome performance in before he was brutally turned into one of the enemies Cyberman style. Check out the episode repeated at 12:10am and 7pm on BBC3 tomorrow and then the conclusion on BBC1 next week back in the normal time of 7pm.

Alone On Prom Night

There are some advantages. Scrubs for one. After episode 1 of this 3rd series I was forced to knock 3 cuteness points off Elliot's profile while Turk gained 1 funny point and JD gained a coolness point for his iPod dance in the car park.

So yeah I'm lonely. There's one thing I can't get out my head though. I know.....and......are gonna.......all night then they're gonna..............once the prom itself is over.

Members of IfritRoms.com beware. I'm upset enough to go for a random banning.

A Bit of a Poke

I'm gonna run out of the poker puns soon. Here's what's been happening in the world of UK poker.

The Poker Channel (which has become a regular stop for me) released its first viewing figures this week. The new channel on Sky 265 started screening the PokerStars.com World Open this week and has been regularly nailing around 800,000 viewers.

The 2005 season of the World Poker Tour kicked off 2 months ago. It starts on Challenge at 10:05 on Sunday and keeps that slot until the end of the season.

A new poker channel named Pokerzone was launched this week. I haven't had a chance to check it out yet but I heard it has the rights to the 2005 World Series.

PartyPoker.com is planning to float itself on the stock market. The UK's biggest poker site has been valued at £300m. Should it float at that valuation it would immediately place above British Airways.

The show credited with kicking off the UK's obsession with poker is returning. Channel 4's Late Night Poker drew in over 1.5m viewers for the first series final despite holding what is commonly known as the graveyard slot. I still have no idea why it was dropped in the first place.

So now you're up to date.

LEAK!!

Well that took a long time. 1 day after the UK release and its out.

Star Wars Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith was leaked today, not a video camera recording but a rip from the master disc. It's now available over bittorrent at The Pirate Bay, Rokanova and Torrent Reactor.

Showing On 3

Anime isn't restricted to Japan you know. Lady Death: The Motion Picture was slammed when it was released a few months ago and with good reason. It's dire. However the series is a different matter and now its available to 3 customers.

Go to the TV section of Today on 3 and click on Lady Death. A new episode is put up every Wednesday at 5pm and costs 50p.

Change of Loyalty

So I've switched back to Winamp. To be honest I missed the streaming music and videos.

After getting out the gates at 11am this morning from school I walked into town with a bunch of guys. We picked up Matt's CD player and had it blasting all the way in. Once in town we stopped to chill at Castle Green. I had to go after about an hour as my foot was killing me. I've got athlete's foot right now and nothing I put on it is making it better.

    Theme to Your Life

    Quick break from E3 now.

  • Your First #1

  • What was number 1 on the day you were born? Mine?

Jason and Kylie - Especially For You
    NOOOOOO!!

    E3 2005 - STOP PRESS

Big news from the show floor. The Revolution will play DVDs and a special add on will enable owners to play other video files by transferring them to SD memory cards, a format interestingly owned by Sony.

    E3 2005 - First Day Report Card

So the press conferences have gone and most of the major news is out. So who made the biggest splash?

    Sony
First to go and scored. The PS3 design showed style and most of the big hitting games were there. Then we saw the controller. Not even the most hardened PS nut could deny the fact that this is the worst controller design ever. A massive own goal and the Spring 2006 release date makes the current kings look vunerable.
    Grade - C+

    Microsoft
The big boys made a similar performance to last year. They did nothing but re-state what had already been said at the Full Circle party last week. The announcement that the 360 could link up with Windows PCs was met with a lukewarm reception and the only thing they don't want to say about the 360 seems to be its PSP connectivity. Only a demonstration of Xbox Live v2 could save a poor performance. They need a good showing in the expo to rescue another bad E3 but the Christmas 2005 release could help.
    Grade - B-

    Nintendo
Adam Sandler was busy on the walk of fame outside while this was going on.

Metroid was the only major franchise missing from Nintendo's demolition of the other 2. A sworn dedication to free wireless DS gaming was made along with news some gamers had wanted, a wireless connection won't be needed to play online when at home as the DS can be connected to a PC with a USB cable and played over dial-up. Then came Gameboy Micro which scored a middling mark on the whoop-ometer and following that came the big one. "You say you want a revolution" said Satoru Iwata with hands behind his back. "Well..." holding up the shiny black box "we've got one". The whoop-ometer went into meltdown. The announcement of free online gaming along with news that games from as far back as the NES would be available for download to the platform sealed the deal. After that a now very excited crowd sat and watched the GBA and GC lineups announced with whoops going to Mario Party 7, Fire Emblem and Pokemon XD. The whoop-ometer gave up when it saw what was next. Zelda. The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess to be exact. An awesome trailer put to bed Nintendo's best E3 performance in some time along with the rumour that the Revolution could be starting as early as September 2005.
Grade - A (the grandads of gaming have woken up angry)

The expo starts today and with Nintendo and Sony right next to each other in the West Hall it could get ugly. Looking at the floor plan it could be interesting in the South Hall as Microsoft, EA and Konami all have relatively similar sized booths (which are dwarfed by Nintendo's).

    E3 2005 - Nintendo

That's all I need to say isn't it? Nintendo's press conference has been and yielded a surprise. Here are the main bits.

    - The Legend of Zelda - Twilight Princess
Forget Halo's grass. Forget Wave Race's water. Forget the Dead or Alive girls. This is the most beautiful thing you will ever see. The photopak holds a pic of a cloaked figure. Could this be the return of Sheikah? The boomerang's back too. That makes me happy. Another thing is seemingly a wolf wearing a green hat. A return to the transformation of Majora's Mask? It certainly looks a lot darker than previous games. Zelda is growing up at last.

    - Mario Party 7
    Inevitable.

    - Pokemon XD
Its not over yet. Subtitled Gail of Darkness and looking like a GC game I wonder if they're ready to bring the RPG proper to the consoles.

    - Super Mario Bros.
COME ON!! Brand spanking new Mario. Shigsy was secretive though.

    - The Revolution
From the look of the photos its going to be even smaller than the GC! A shiny black box means it loses the unique look of its predecessor but as the other 2 new consoles are shiny silver it'll still stick out. From the look of things it'll split into 2 bits. The main black bit holds all the switches and disc slot (looks like regular discs this time) complete with fancy blue light and I have no idea what the bottom silver bit does. It does have a second disc drawer to house GC games so don't be afraid to switch. I didn't get a good look but one of the pics Satoru Iwata brought up showed all the Nintendo consoles side by side. Could there be other cartridge slots?

    - Gameboy Micro
This is the 3rd attempt to get the GBA as small as possible. No space has been wasted in shoehorning everything in. The start and select buttons have even been pushed to the bottom. The machine also looks to be skinnable.

    - DS
Advance Wars DS still makes me very excited but I haven't quite bought into the whole Animal Crossing thing. Mario Kart DS has me wondering, not many of the new screenshots show MK64 tracks. Could it be a new game? Also keep an eye on Viewtiful Joe DS and Splinter Cell Chaos Theory (yes for the DS).

    - Gamecube
Following the Donkey Konga 2 fiasco at Gamespy as I reported last week that game's lost credibility. The oldest company in gaming haven't lost faith in music games though as DDR Mario Mix is looking shaweet! Also the Mario Sports series gets back on track with Mario Baseball. That should be interesting.

    - GBA
No-one's forsaking the GBA. Mario Tennis is hitting soon and looks to keep the RPG element that made the GBC one so much fun. Donkey Kong Country 3 is also on its way as it seemingly a new Fire Emblem. Looking forward to that.

Overall a good performance. Look out for Konami later on.

All pictures mentioned are available at E3Insider.com

    E3 2005 - Sony Press Conference

It hit. The PS3 announcement. Spring 2006 is the expectation and the controller is the ugliest thing I've ever seen. At least when you throw it away it'll come back. They pinched the font used for the Spiderman films for the Playstation 3 text on the front too. So what's caught my eye about the PS3 then?

    - The controller looks even worse than the original Xbox controller. The PS2 controller was so comfortable. Why change it now? I can't see a second shoulder button on it either.

    - The design. It looks like an Xbox 360 without the green.

    - The games. These are the important bits and only a few caught my eye. Eyedentify looks extremely promising as does the new Gundam game. Ni-Oh gains a lazy 'meh' as does Tekken 6.

Microsoft also had their press conference today but we learnt nothing more than we were told at the 360 event last week. Nintendo are still to come today I think and their big hitter is plastered on the stairs joining each of the 4 halls. For more check out the Photopax at E3Insider.com

Also check out G4's lame ass jeep in an attempt to gain some credibility.

    E3 2005 - Calm Before the Storm

    *singing*
here we go here we go here we go!!

E3 Insider goes live later tonight. If its like last year then it'll be the first photopak with some pics of the early morning set-up. More E3 stuff will be over at 1up.com and never forgetting the webcomic authors, here's a list of where some of them are gonna be and when in case you're going.

Jerry Holkins and Mike Krahulik (Penny Arcade)
    UbiSoft Booth between 2-3pm

Tim Buckley (Ctrl+Alt+Del) and Brian Clevinger (Nuklear Power)
    NCSoft Booth between 1:30-2pm

    Scott (VGCats)
No idea. He'll be there though.

    In pre-E3 webcomic news.

    Penny Arcade
Developers of 6 Sorrows are in tears as UbiSoft announces 7 Sorrows.

    CAD
Ethan is left in charge of Gamehaven. Oh dear.

    VG Cats
New layout and new logo but Scott's as slow as ever with the comic. If its on par with last week it'll be worth waiting for though.

Sore Thumbs are continuing with Cecania's break-out and I haven't got today's Sinfest yet.

E3 2005! Everything you need to know everyday on w00tworld! From 9pm tonight.

    PS
w00tworld Hentai fans keep an eye out. Something special's gonna be going up today.

    Monday Morning

    Music
    Blink 182 - Feeling This

So the morning of the last week arrives. As does Tsubasa 6 at last. I sorted out my CDs last night as I was extremely bored. At least I know where they all are now. I also moved my VCR into my mum's room as she's not using right now. I got a comfy green chair in there pointed at the TV with all my videos on another chair to the side. At least I got somewhere to watch Cardcaptors now.

E3 news now and the E3 Insider site (www.e3insider.com) is now active for 2005. Last year I found this an invaluble resource but beware. A lot of stuff happens at E3 in one day and E3I has 4 ways of helping you keep track of it all. Floored is the special TV show put up 3 days a day while Fancam gives you an idea of what its really like to be there. The Photopax hold shitloads of photos from every corner of the show. Finally the daunting Newsroom. Every single press release from the show will go up in there. I've made it my job to read all of them so you don't have to. Also if you want to check up on certain exhibitors then you can. A simple option which will bring up everything thats been posted by that exhibitor.

One thing about the new Insider site that caught my eye was the Grassroots Initiative. Simply put this is the campaign by the ESA (Entertainment Software Association) to help prevent constant revisions of the rating laws.

I'll be using E3 Insider throughout the show period but once its all said and done I recommend Gamespot for the aftermath. Don't forget to keep up with w00tworld's daily updates.

E3 2005 starts tomorrow with the conference and the expo (the big bit) kicks off on Thursday.

    Saturday, May 14, 2005

    Well General?

What's going on in my life?

    - I'm pissed off. Its 8:30pm and Live-Evil still haven't put up Tsubasa 6.
    - I got The Magic Numbers in my playlist.
    - My mammoth Air torrent is still not finished but its progressing well having reached a sprint speed of 56kbs on Thursday.
    - Mario Party 4 is keeping me busy nicely.
    - I have another 2 wristbands. I make a point of only wearing one at a time but these 2 are joined together. Yep, the white and black racism bands. The white one is looser though.
    - RoyalFlush on the Challenge forums (aka Casino Casino semi finalist Wilkes) shall soon be forced to accept my predictive skills if he loses his semi on Monday.
    - The Farm is proving to be its unusually entertaining self with the farmers having a calendar shoot. With Ron Jeremy there you can imagine the results of that.

    Celebrity Wrestling: Week 4

Well its the half way point. Last week the Crusaders took a 2 point lead over the Warriors who lost 2 team members to injury. Victoria Silvestedt twisted her knee against Leilani Dowding and Oliver Skeete was told that his first week shoulder injury was going to keep him out the competition. Victoria's knee has healed since and DIY man Phil Turner has been brought in to replace Oliver.

    Fight 1
    Jenny Powell vs Kate Lawler
These 2 are both undefeated but Kate is the only woman to take a full 3. Round 1 is Sumo Slam. A very impressive flip takes the first game from Kate but I was concentrating on her outfit. Its always looked vunerable and just proved it with a very nice breast poking out. Jenny holds Kate off to take a valuble point 1-0. Round 2 is my favourite. Wrecking Ball. Kate is smarting from her defeat and takes 2 reds easily. Another 2 reds fall along with 2 blues but the bell rings at 4-2. D-Lo isn't happy about what he saw as Kate moving around the ball which would result in a disqualification. That is the case as the replay shows but referee Ian Freeman gives Kate the point. Round 3 is another one of my favourites, Chain Reaction. Jenny immediately shows her dominance taking 2 quickly but Kate takes back 2. At 2-2 Kate just takes back 2 with 3 seconds left to claim victory undisputed.
    Final Score
    Jenny 1 - Kate 2

    Fight 2
    Lee Sharpe vs Phil Turner
The substitutes fight now. Round 1 is Raging Pull. Its slow but Phil's weight advantage eventually pulls through. The same happens next time. For the 3rd bout Phil decides to defend and Lee can't shift him. Lee takes the point 2-0. Round 2 turns out to be the awesome Murderball. Lee gets the tip but Phil makes the steal easily and lobs it in. However Lee is outside the ring in clear pain and the goal is disallowed. Lee is carted off to the medical room and yet another substitute is brought in. It makes no difference as Phil buries the ball to give the Warriors the lead back. The official word from Lee is that he has at least cracked a rib. Round 3 is Lockdown in the cage. No-one leaves until one of these men is chained up. Its a one sided bout and Phil makes his 3-0 demolition look easy.
    Final Score
    Phil 3 - Lee/Scott 0

    Fight 3
    Michelle Heaton vs Annabel Croft
These 2 don't stand a chance in the individual competition. Annabel only took 1 from her first fight and Michelle drew a blank. Round 1 is Gate Crash and here comes the Masked Celebrity striding on without fear. Annabel is first to take her on. She puts MC close to the edge but can't deliver the finishing blow due in part to the MCs 3st weight advantage. Michelle now has the task and she doesn't look confident. Both fighters hit the gate at the same time and the impact knocks Michelle down for the MC to take an easy win. Same again next time but despite a very awkward fall she comes up again to get beaten again. The medical team are called out to deal with Michelle's leg but its not serious enough to take her out the fight. The MCs identity is unimportant as Michelle's leg is enough to take her out the next event. Shauna Loury is the replacement for Pendulum of Pain but Annabel refuses to be intimidated and takes her out. In bout 2 Shauna takes the full force of the pendulum to her back but Annabel can't quite take the advantage. Round 3 is Rip Wrestling. Shauna shows she has got some bite after all and throws an elbow into Annabel's face. Some impressive defence helps but its Annabel who rips off the sleeve at last.
    Final Score
    Michelle/Shauna 0 - Annabel 2

So after a pinful night here are the team scores.
    Crusaders - 15
    Warriors - 19

There are 2 weeks until the team trophy is awarded. After that the leading individuals take on each other for the belts. Also next week we'll have the first rating figures for the series. See you then.

    Another One Bites the Dust

Damn. First Suprnova hits the dirt and now BTF-Net kicks the bucket. w00tworld's preferred TV tracker has now switched to Torrent Portal (www.torrentportal.com). Our preferred anime tracker (AnimeSuki) remains unaffected.

    Get In or Get Out

So what's in my favour right now and what's dropped of the face of the (w00t) world?

    The Field
Lying on my ass listening to music for an hour.

    System of a Down
    Mesmerize is incredible.

    It's not funny anymore guys.

    Oasis
Sniping at their superior rivals is not clever.

    Ali's Resizing
Some are small enough and some are way too big. Get some consistancy dammit.

    More trouble than they're worth.

    Messa and Lasaro
Are they the same person? They're always complaining about the same things.

    And Relax

Crisis averted. Time for some gossip from the net.

Today's big story is unfortunately the Xbox 360. Looking like a titanic glacier and standing just as big (if not bigger) than its daddy. Apparantly this is what the gaming revolution is going to be. I'll just give up now shall I?

Penny Arcade have hit out big time at Gamespy (again). Seems like a freelance reviewer (hello) gave Donkey Konga 2 a mere 1.5/5.0. When the review was posted to the Gamespy site that was pumped up to a more sponsor friendly 3/5. This isn't a rare thing. Next time you read a review on a big site or in a major magazine think about what it originally said.

Tim Buckley of Ctrl+Alt+Del and Brian of 8-Bit Theatre have a problem. Both of them are hitting E3 next week (yes I'm jealous) and have been astounded to hear how many CAD and 8-BT fans are going to be there. They've agreed to hang around the NCSoft (City of Heroes guys) booth between 1:30 and 2pm on all 3 days of the expo.

Everyone loves an open beta. With broadband now at my disposal I made a vow to take on the first one which came my way. Boy did I get lucky. Far from having to test out something like Warcraft, Everquest or Elder Scrolls I got Phantasy Star Online Blue Burst!! The open beta is now available from the official site and is completely free to play. The setup file is 498mb.

Firefox has had an awesome week. Today it gained official status as the favoured browser of computer giants IBM and yesterday Mozilla Europe showed why they'd been so quiet recently. The Firefox ads have finally touched down. Check them out at http://funnyfox.org

That's all I can think of for now. I'll see you lot later. Don't forget E3 2005 on w00tworld from Tuesday.

    Fuck

I am a stupid asshole. If Ali never wants to hear from me again then I'd understand. I can't think of anything I could say or do to rescue this situation and I don't even know the feelings that got me into this mess.

    When Anger Takes Over

Copied from dA journal. Posted to w00tworld because....

    a) I can't hide it.
    b) I find it immensely embarrasing so you lot should be pissing yourselves.
    c) I wanted a C to make me look intelligent.

    [begin]
Scratching my eye a lot. Nothing wrong with it though. Sign of nervousness. Nothing to be afraid of though, I can't be touched here.

Some songs got me into something resembling a good mood earlier today. Na Na Na Na Naa (Kaisers) was being belted out at full pelt (to the horror of everyone on the bus). Hounds of Love (Futureheads) was a good cheer up song I found and so was Play the Hits (HAL). Nothing's forced a smile out yet though.

I really wanted to stay home today. A variety of factors contributing to that. Headache of the fucking century, my very warm bed, schoolwork and other things which should be made blindingly obvious from previous postings.

    Finally got round to rewatching a few episodes of Cardcaptors last night. Rewatched the opening 5 minutes of Tsubasa 5 as well. Might rewatch a few episodes of The Amazing Race 6 later, if just to remind me that things could be worse (damn I'd love to see Dave and Ali in season 9). Anime is really proving to be the only thing I can do to take my mind off things now. Especially when talking about it produces quotes like this;

    "I wish I liked anime"

You wish you liked it? YOU WISH YOU LIKED IT?! Why don't you make some sort of fucking effort and try some then? Not everyone's gonna bring everything to you on a plate you know. If you want something you're gonna have to go and get it yourself because I've damn near run out of patience. I've been convinced into forgiveness before but I fucking won't be this time. There's no worth in having someone pretending to be a friend at a time like this. Days like yesterday I found out who my closest friends are and that list sure as hell doesn't include you. I bet if I broke down in tears right here in front of you you wouldn't even notice. Everyone else would wonder what's wrong, even fucking Duncan and Harry would notice.

Damn. Should I even post that? I've gone slightly dizzy and my left arm's gone limp. All the anger and emotion I've kept pent up inside myself gets released here. Its the only place I feel safe to unleash my feelings. The only place where I'm gonna get an unbiased opinion. It feels like my tears are all stuck in my arm as I can't cry here. I just want to be back in my room. A confined space where I feel free. Away from everyone pressurising me and with only myself to comfort me. What's the point in having comforting presences if they're cancelled out by someone who's cold and fake? 10 days left counting today. Will I matter after those days are over?

Am I lying to myself holding you there?
Do I secretly believe that you really care?
    [end]

My recovery post is on dA as my latest journal. Warning: May contain grovelling.

    EDIT
In 'You had it coming news', Oasis' new album Don't Believe the Truth (the truth incidentally being that its shit) has been leaked. A tagging error by EMI led to the album being released onto iTunes 4 weeks before the May 30th release date. The album was snapped up quickly in the 2 hours it was available and as can be expected hit the file-sharing networks with just as much speed.

Don't Believe the Truth by Oasis will be in all music shops, magazines, music channels and anything else related to music on May 30th.

If you don't want to buy the pile of shit that it is then its available on Limewire now.

All These Things That I've Done

My computer crashed at around 10:20pm last night forcing me offline. I apologise to everyone I was chatting to at the time, it wasn't my fault, it wasn't out of spite and it did piss me off.

It remains to be seen whether softball can restore my good mood.

    EDIT
I damn near pissed myself laughing reading this week's VG Cats. Scott back on top form.

Whatever I Want: Special Poker Edition

So what would I spend a lot of money on this month? Well I'd be giving a lot of money to the PokerRoom.com guys.

    Clothes
  • PokerRoom.com Fleece
  • Just look at it.
  • PokerRoom.com T-Shirt
  • Damn.
  • PokerRoom.com Beanie
  • Oh yeah. Better than the Nike one I've got now.

    Playing Stuff
  • PokerRoom.com Complete Home Set
  • Infinately desirable. Engraved holding case, 500 ceramic PokerRoom.com chips, 2 decks of PokerRoom.com playing cards, a black cutting card, table felt with the PokerRoom.com logo, a PokerRoom.com cap and the shoulder bag.

    Other Stuff
  • PokerRoom.com Mug
  • Gotta admit that's got style.
  • PokerRoom.com Beach Towel
  • Maybe a bit too far? No.

So how much would this lot cost? This month's shopping list runs to.....
    *drumroll*
As the site gives free shipping anywhere it runs to a rather impressive $701. Note that most of that is the $558 worth of home set. Who said consumerism was dead?

    Mmmm, Subtlety.

"That was a good form period"

He said looking straight at me. I could see that glint of malice in his eye. It was funny though, him trying to be threatening. I laughed and moved to science.

    NEWS!!
The BBC have picked up the rights for one of the greatest gameshows ever! The Krypton Factor will return later this year!

Tim Buckley has honoured us with his thorough review style again.
    Forza Motorsport = Hot shit
Revenge of the Sith = Just shit
Failure to buck the trend yet again then.

    Unshakable

Music: System of a Down - Lost in Hollywood

So I got the new System of a Down album today and let me tell you any magazine slating this album is talking a load of bullshit.

Anyway, sorry to be overly cryptic. I know its gonna raise suspicion but I got the idea from Josef. You know when you know someone really well you kinda establish a telepathic bond without even knowing. To everyone else news of what they did some night is perfectly innocuous but immediately it starts alarm bells ringing in your head. Its just unbelievably obvious that they aren't telling the whole story to everyone else. To fully keep an eye on someone you need 3 people. Someone who loves them, someone who hates them and someone neutral. Damn its hard to get all 3 working the same job.

    7 Days

Well well well. No less than 4 new animated series' starting this week.

Contrary to what I said a while ago Hi Hi Puffy Amiyumi kicks off this week. On Tuesday to be exact. 4pm on Cartoon Network. I would advise you to watch it as its awesome.

One I've been looking forward to for some time now. Reality TV gets hardcore. Big Brother meets The Simpsons meets South Park meets Angel Blade for good measure. Look for tentacle demons and dickgirls in what is looking like the funniest thing your likely to see this year. Drawn Together starts tonight at 10:30pm on MTV.

Another one I've been looking forward to. Cubix meets Megaman NT Warrior. Code Lyoko starts Friday at 5pm on Toonami.

Finally its back to before the beginning. See what happened before that fateful moment in the lab and of course that awesome opening fight. Before a broken alarm clock sparked a lifelong friendship. Pokemon Chronicles kicks off on Thursday on Toonami.

    Also This Week
Its finally the final. If its anything like the semis then it should be worth watching. The University Challenge final is tomorrow at 8:30pm on BBC2.

Tsubasa Chronicle episode 5 has hit. Sakura wants to find her own feathers but she's in no state to do that.

The one sure thing about luck is that it will change. Round 2 of Casino Casino kicks off Monday at 10:05 on Challenge with the final on Friday.

For the million! The final leg of The Amazing Race 7 hits on Wednesday.

    Happy viewing.

    w00taward!!

Another special achievement award. I have been hanging around this site for a few days now and look at what I've collected.

    Initial D Episodes 1-6
Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery (yes the full movie)
    South Park Season 8
System of a Down - Mesmerize
    and innumerable levels of hentai

Right now nothing matches the efforts of these 2 guys in terms of adding content. Only yesterday they added well over 1.5gb of content in the forums. No other sites I've seen have ever managed that. Anime, manga, hentai, movies, music, porn AND everything in between all get a look in when added by either the site's 2 owners or even the visitors. Only high quality counts and its a reassuring thought that whenever downloading something that it doesn't contain a virus, the file does work and you've got a friendly ear to talk to after downloading. It is with no doubt whatsoever that I have to award a w00taward to Badjojo.

    Celebrity Wrestling: Week 3

    The usual weekly update.

    Midweek
Oliver Skeete is still walking around with his arm in a sling. Its the worst news possible as he is told that he will not be able to compete for the rest of the competition. It remains to be seen who will take his place against Jeff Brazier next week.

    Round 1
    Jeff Brazier vs Iwan Thomas
In Ram Rod Iwan took the 2-1 victory in what was quite frankly an uneventful match. Murderball too was uninspiring with Jeff only needing 2 tip-offs to bury the ball. Chain Reaction however proved to be far more entertaining as Iwan seemingly dominated. However Jeff pulled it back with 2 seconds left to claim a draw and prevent anyone scoring. After 3 games it turned out to be 1-1 with no-one managing to take the advantage.

    Round 2
    James Hewitt vs Marc Bannerman
Its Raging Pull in game 1 against the masked celebrity. Definately a showman this week and also a very big man. That size proves useful as he disposes of James twice in less than 10 seconds. He proves to be even more useful as he also takes out Marc 2-0 with just as much ease. Adding insult to injury the masked celebrity turns out to be Mr Beer Belly himself Neil 'Razor' Ruddock. Armed and Dangerous has hardly produced many memorable moments but James has clearly taken a liking to it. He absolutely destroys Marc who clearly has some balance issues 2-0 and then nearly takes him down from the floor. Sumo Slam has produces some real interesting moments and is another one of James' favourites which he immediately proves by dumping Marc with ease but has to really defend when he's grabbed by the crotch on the edge of the podium. He hangs on though to take 2 much needed points. Marc's after fight speech even brings a smile to D-Lo's face when he brings on his James impression.

    Round 3
    Leilani Dowding vs Victoria Silvestedt
Neither of these 2 have won a fight. However there is great resentment from everyone (including the Warriors) towards Victoria over her lack of focus and committment. Leilani has an immediate advantege in game one as she's played Wrecking Ball before. Victoria is cautioned quickly for letting go of the ball Leilani takes 2 free skittles. Victoria however quickly loses her grip again and moves right next to Leilani. D-Lo and Leilani both go ballistic and Victoria is disqualified dispite being 4-2 up. Victoria pays an even bigger price by taking a real ear-bashing from Joe Legend. A new game for game 2 with Lock Down. Victoria causes more grief for the coaches by losing her helmet early on. However its a scoreless game which Leilani takes on a refs decision. Legend is quick to take the matter up with ref Ian Freemen but is confronted by Leilani, a matter which D-Lo takes personally. Victoria is complaining of a hurt knee as she prepares for game 3. Things don't look good as the medical team declair that she can't fight in game 3. She is replaced by model Emma B for Rip Wrestling in the cage. A slow game compared to other games of Rip Wrestling we've seen but brilliant tactical fighting leads a full house for Leilani.

    Scoreboard
So with the Warriors' strength demolished the Crusaders take full advantage. After 3 weeks the team competition looks like this.
    Crusaders - 14
    Warriors - 12

    Next Week
Grudge match, Kate Lawler takes on Jenny Powell
Replacement? Lee Sharpe meets Phil Taylor
Raging inferno, Michelle Heaton vs Annabel Croft

    Also Next Week
Want a real fight? Amir Kahn does and he's after revenge.
    Unfinished Business
    Amir Kahn vs Mario Kindelan

    Screwed Over

Sorry for the lack of photo in the profile. Imageshack's screwing me over as usual. I'll put a new photo up on Photobucket as soon as I can.

    Coolness+1000

Take the Powerpuff Girls. Not too taxing was it. Now take the Powerpuff Girls and put them in the hands of anime geniuses Toei.
  • This is what you get
  • Like it or not the Powerpuff Girls have just got much, much cooler. This is the anime reworking of the girls from said Toei. A pilot episode of the new series was shown at the Tokyo Animation Fair finally confirming rumours that had been circulating the net for months. Looking at the pilot of what has become known as Powerpuff Girls Z it all seems very different from the PPG we all know. The girls are just 3 ordinary girls until they're called into action by the professor. After a massively over the top transformation scene (you know you love it) the show begins. It is definately still a fun series that isn't taking itself too seriously. Many of the old characters have returned (Mojo Jojo is in the pilot) but naturally the typical japanese touch has been placed on it. Its funny but still action packed. I'm comparing it very heavily to Sailor Moon which I found an extremely belated love of once the series had crashed in the UK. Make your own judgement with my parting link.
  • Toonygal's overview of the pilot

  • A Scientific Experiment

    Regular porn is real.
    Hentai is not real.

With this thought I had an idea. I decided to take several hentai subjects and see if they transferred to regular porn. See if all the stuff hentai fans love and fight to defend really works when brought into the real world.

To carry out this experiment I use both video clips found on Limewire alongside videos, pictures and hentai mangas from my own collection.

I'll write up the reports as I carry out the comparisons. My personal opinion is that they will make very interesting reading.

    Back to Business

Feeling in a slightly better mood. A number of factors involved in that so here's a hot and cold.

    HOT!!
I freaked Ali and Chibi out with my disappearance.
    "NJ has disappeared" Ali's blog

Ali's photography skills are massively improving. In my opinion anyway.

Finally got my own copies of Kaiser Chiefs and The Killers albums.

JKBunny on dA. Only possible description is kawaii. Not related to another JK.

    cold...
    My dA favourites are screwed.

I still haven't seen Akira (which I don't have) or Princess Mononoke (which I do have).

My recording of Thursday's Casino Casino is buggered.

Paul Keetch, the single most annoying person this side of the Jenkins family is still MP for Hereford.

    Bother's Back! (so's NJ)

    *Post copied from dA*

Music: Kaiser Chiefs - Na Na Na Na Naa

I hear there has been mass panic throughout the dAsphere concerning my disappearance. Allow me to explain.

OK, I hear after getting home yesterday that I'm gonna have to stay at my sister's (Jo) house that night. Fine by me, they've got a better TV and its election night. Despite everything I said over the last few weeks I did stay up to watch the election results as they came in.

Roll forwards to 1:30am. I hear Jo coming down the stairs and she asks if one of us can go to the hospital with her boyfriend Toby. Toby it seems had had an accident at work earlier in the day involving an inspection and a welder. He was slowly guided down the stairs clearly in great pain and holding an icepack over his eyes. A taxi is called and me and Toby head to A+E.

    So here's the rough timetable.

1:50am - Arrive at A+E and check in.
2:20am - Guy who was here before us gets seen.
    2:30am - 2 people come in.
3:00am - 2 people who came in get seen.
3:30am - I go out to phone Mum and get an election update.
    3:35am - On re-entry I take a piss.
4:00am - In a desperate attempt to stay awake I begin pacing the waiting room.
    4:05am - I go for a shit.
4:20am - Finally, 2 and a half hours after arriving we get seen.
4:35am - With Toby left with the doctor I joke about getting out before sunrise.
4:40am - I go outside for some air and feel 10 times better for it.
4:55am - Toby comes out finally able to see.
5:00am - We leave via taxi.
    5:15am - We arrive back at Jo's.
5:40am - I go to bed having been awake for nearly 22 hours.

    --INTERMISSION--

    3:10pm - I wake up.
    10:00pm - I arrive back home.

So there you go. I wasn't at school today because I was in bed. I haven't been on dA or MSN due to me not having internet at Jo's house. I am so fucking glad to be back home, less glad to see my favourites still fucked.

Also people, on this day with a fresh new government....being denied to us we have something to be thankful for at least. The new Bother's Bar!! Check the new premises out over at www.bothersbar.co.uk

    Moving On

I always sing along to Mr Brightside whenever it comes on. Though my tone is starting to change. Kinda inkeeping with the scale of sadness I drew up last year. Now I've most definately progressed to anger.

    Speechless

Try being a Liverpool supporter right now. Scoring after 4 minutes and having to watch as your team desperately try to hang on to that 1-0 lead for 6 added minutes.

Jon's just come online. He must have seen me and buggered off. His display name? 'Watch Chelsea Get To The Final Of The Champions League'. Sorry Jon.

Jose, the ego had landed. Actually, less landed more sent crashing to earth.

Here we go, Istanbul. May 25th.

    A Fine Medicine

    New w00tworld Hentai post.
    New vintage review later (maybe).

Man its good to see. Me in a good mood that is. Want to know what's put me in such a mood? Well it begins with H and ends with I.

    Going Up

Quick piece of NationStates news. In the latest region charts w00tworld has skyrocketed over 2,000 places to number 702. Bear in mind this is out of over 70,000 nations.

w00tworld's growing economy and civil rights described by outsiders as very good have seen it rocket up the Pacific nations chart recently from its starting position of 72,000. As it stands we have our sights set firmly on a place in the top 10 and from there who knows? Maybe we'll hit the world #1 someday (we're in the high 12,000s already out of well over 200,000 nations overall).

    State of Play

    Terry won Hell's Kitchen.

Shaun Murphy leads Matthew Stevens 17-16 in the World Snooker Championship Final with only 2 frames left.

Washington lost to New York Metz 6-3 last night in the MLB.

Ian Nelson won the PartyPoker.com World Open in less than 100 hands.

    No Results

Something you see quite often when searching for the opening and closing themes of Tsubasa. Eventually in slight desparation I nipped over to Download.com to find something I could record off my sound card with. Easy find. ARWizard3. Btw, half the files on DL.com have vanished. This is because they've decided to get rid of every single program with bundled adware and spyware. This means thankfully that Real Player's vanished along with iMesh. Anyway I got the tunes and I'm very happy. Anyone who hears me singing japanese with my mp3 player on now knows what I'm listening to.

    Grrr

    Sorry, double posted.

    Thursday Night

Election election, bound to not give you an erection.

    Sorry.

Well if your determined to avoind the election there's only one option and it lies very out of the way.

Watching - PartyPoker.com World Open Final

Liam Flood vs Ian Nelson heads up. Both men with obscenely sized stacks so this could go on for some time. Watching it is a personal battle between 2 parts of me. The part of me that loves poker and the part of me that hates PartyPoker.com with a passion. Kevin Almon gave me a few ideas as he reached the final of this massive tournament after qualifying through the net. He's 19 years old.

Blog news now and Numbus seems to be spending a lot of time on Hentai Palm as he hasn't updated his blog in some time. Knighty has promised to keep off eBay for a while and Jon is trying his best to gross everyone out. In the land of the fairer sex Ali has a kick ass new look to her blog thanks to Jon. I'd get a new look for w00tworld but can you imagine trying to restore everything here after a template change?

In other news Tsubasa Chronicle Episode 4 has just hit AnimeSuki. Why are you still here?

Better Than I Could Have Hoped

Its official. Sony have announced the release date for their PSP handheld and its better than any Nintendo supporter could have hoped for. When I heard it I was rolling on the floor in hysterics.

    September.

Yep, 6 months after the US. The PSP hits Europe in September. That's 5 months away. Way to commit professional suicide Sony.

Playlist: Sing to Me in French

Hey hey! The big battle of the week is an album battle between The Glitterati and Hot Hot Heat. Both feature in this month's playlist as do a band who prove that being a geek doesn't stop you getting into the Playboy Mansion.

Mark Owen - 4 Minute Warning
    Maximo Park - Graffiti
The Glitterati - You Got Nothing On Me
    Hot Hot Heat - Bandages
    Weezer - Beverly Hills
    Adema - Tornado
    Beastie Boys - Body Movin'
    Tenacious D - Wonderboy
    The Offspring - Original Prankster
    HAL - Play the Hits

    News From Me

Well end of the week nearly and here's what I found this week on the net alongside what to look out for next week.

    This Week
Quote of the week goes to Hentai Addict newbie Drowningman.
"If God loves a winner he's gonna wanna fuck me in a minute"
Close second is CrazyFred also from HA.
"A life without hentai ain't much of one"

Forum member of the week is GreatWasabi of Hentai Addict (again). This guy finally stretched my Gmail inbox with an inhuman dickgirl drop and to follow it up gave a link to a hentai doujin that has finally overtaken S+M University as my favourite.

Hentai Addict rounds up a clean sweep of forum awards with thread of the week. On top form this week but the winner is easily Shroomy's "Mud or Pudding Wrestling" thread. Special mentions go to GreatWasabi for "The Hentai Gross Out Game", Guest for "What is the Flavour?" and Creeper for "Hell has Frozen Over".

I found out this week from Jon that FreeiPods.com has finally hit the UK. For those who don't know this is a site from the legendary Gratis Internet group. These guys have given away over £18 million worth of stuff free. To get your free iPod go to the site and complete an offer. Then get 5 friends to complete an offer themselves. This pays for the iPod and shipping as well as getting Gratis their profit. These offers aren't from a bunch of shady companies, these are big companies. You've got Blockbuster, HSBC, Mastercard, BMG and Napster to name a few. The thing that seperates this site from so many similar sites is that this place actually does send out what it promises. I've spoken to so many people about the site and they all say it delivers. Now it just has to see how it fares in the UK.

Big news from Japan which took everyone by surprise. Takeshi's Castle turned 25 years old this week and to celebrate TBS showed a brand new episode. Keshi Head Dan Picton reported that General Tani made a return to his role aged 58 but Takeshi Kitano was away directing so in time honoured fashion he was replaced by the plastic Takeshi head. TBS have since announced that a brand new series is in the making and Challenge have promised to look into it immediately. Pictures are over at Keshi Heads.

Ratings news and BARB have published ratings for a few weeks ago. Episode 4 of the new Doctor Who has steadily been losing viewers. Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway drew to within 20,000 viewers of the BBC's killer program which registered fewer viewers than Casualty on the same night. It remains to be seen if the monumental episode 6 (Dalek) can bring it closer to the 10m mark it set on its first night.

More ratings news now and BBC2 are preparing for a real showdown this week. The finals of University Challenge 2005 and The Apprentice are bound to be great viewing but the ratings afterwards should also make interesting reading. As it stands less than 200,000 viewers separate the 2 with UC on top. Dick and Dom's Ask the Family has dropped out of the channel's top 30 programmes.

Channel 4s ratings are disappointing. Major film Spellbound only pulled in 1.5m viewers with The Simpsons only just rating above that. The channel's top programme by some distance is Supernanny with over 5m.

Challenge continue to prove their worth as a channel. Takeshi's Castle annihilated the final episode of The Osbournes by over 40,000 viewers. The Contender however continues to destroy all that stands in its way constantly standing above all other ITV2 programming. The boxing reality series currently registers over 500,000 viewers, massive by multi-channel standards.

    Next Week
Coming up over the next 7 days you should watch the following.

The PartyPoker.com World Open comes to its climax tomorrow. Catch it all from 12:35am on Five.

Tsubasa Chronicle Episode 4 (The Innocent Vagabond) hits BitTorrent this week. Make sure you catch it, even if just to see Kurogane soften up.

Like I said earlier its the final of The Apprentice on Wednesday at 9pm.

Election night is Thursday. From 9:55pm on BBC1 and 10pm on ITV1. Get your mind off the gloom before voting with Ali G Indahouse on Wednesday at 9pm on ITV1 (which you've all seen at least 3 times already). Remember to cheer up after voting with The Robinsons (9pm BBC2), Dead Ringers Election Special (10pm BBC2) and Bremner, Bird and Fortune Election Special (10:40pm C4). Also be sure to recover from the morning after the night before with (ahem) THE ALL NEW BOTHER'S BAR!! on the 6th with a competition to win a big fat £50!

That's it. Also be sure as always to check out Rupert Goodwins' Diary on ZDNet UK and Iain Weaver on UKGameshows tomorrow.
