100 Greatest Cartoons

I know some of you will have watched this but this is what I found particularly interesting.

#100 - Wacky Races
Why is this all the way down here? And why did Penelope Pitstop have a vibrator on her car?

#94 - Queer Duck
wtf?

#79 - Peter Pan
It wasn't good for the classic Disneys

#77 - Tintin
WHY SO LOW?!

#76 - Belleville Rendevous
How the hell did this get in? Not that it's a bad film or anything.

#72 - Legend of the Overfiend
The hentai classic. It worries me that it nearly made the top 70.

#67 - The Snowman
100% pure depression.

#62 - Battle of the Planets
The anime classics started strongly.

#52 - 2DTV
The ultimate pisstake show.

#45 - Pokemon
Oh yes!

#42 - Samurai Jack
Life affirming animation and a big surprise.

#37 - Transformers
#54 - Thundercats
Why were these not higher than....

#34 - He-Man and the Masters of the Universe
....this pile of shit.

#26 - TMNT
COME ON!!

#21 - Princess Mononoke
The anime classic gains recognition but not as much as.....

#16 - Akira
....which doesn't get as high as....

#8 - Sprited Away
For the oscar winning anime masterpiece to get into the top 10 shows that UK audiences DO love anime.

#3 - South Park
Above Toy Story, Monsters Inc, The Incredibles and Finding Nemo.

#1 - The Simpsons
And deservedly so.

With 3 anime masterpieces placing in the top 25 it's starting to look like anime has a real future in the UK. Look out for a new feature later entitled Future of Anime.

I'm now off to recover from a hentai film making the list at all, let alone the high 70s. The full list is available at www.channel4.com/greatest
