News From Me

Well end of the week nearly and here's what I found this week on the net alongside what to look out for next week.

This Week
Quote of the week goes to Hentai Addict newbie Drowningman.
"If God loves a winner he's gonna wanna fuck me in a minute"
Close second is CrazyFred also from HA.
"A life without hentai ain't much of one"

Forum member of the week is GreatWasabi of Hentai Addict (again). This guy finally stretched my Gmail inbox with an inhuman dickgirl drop and to follow it up gave a link to a hentai doujin that has finally overtaken S+M University as my favourite.

Hentai Addict rounds up a clean sweep of forum awards with thread of the week. On top form this week but the winner is easily Shroomy's "Mud or Pudding Wrestling" thread. Special mentions go to GreatWasabi for "The Hentai Gross Out Game", Guest for "What is the Flavour?" and Creeper for "Hell has Frozen Over".

I found out this week from Jon that FreeiPods.com has finally hit the UK. For those who don't know this is a site from the legendary Gratis Internet group. These guys have given away over £18 million worth of stuff free. To get your free iPod go to the site and complete an offer. Then get 5 friends to complete an offer themselves. This pays for the iPod and shipping as well as getting Gratis their profit. These offers aren't from a bunch of shady companies, these are big companies. You've got Blockbuster, HSBC, Mastercard, BMG and Napster to name a few. The thing that seperates this site from so many similar sites is that this place actually does send out what it promises. I've spoken to so many people about the site and they all say it delivers. Now it just has to see how it fares in the UK.

Big news from Japan which took everyone by surprise. Takeshi's Castle turned 25 years old this week and to celebrate TBS showed a brand new episode. Keshi Head Dan Picton reported that General Tani made a return to his role aged 58 but Takeshi Kitano was away directing so in time honoured fashion he was replaced by the plastic Takeshi head. TBS have since announced that a brand new series is in the making and Challenge have promised to look into it immediately. Pictures are over at Keshi Heads.

Ratings news and BARB have published ratings for a few weeks ago. Episode 4 of the new Doctor Who has steadily been losing viewers. Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway drew to within 20,000 viewers of the BBC's killer program which registered fewer viewers than Casualty on the same night. It remains to be seen if the monumental episode 6 (Dalek) can bring it closer to the 10m mark it set on its first night.

More ratings news now and BBC2 are preparing for a real showdown this week. The finals of University Challenge 2005 and The Apprentice are bound to be great viewing but the ratings afterwards should also make interesting reading. As it stands less than 200,000 viewers separate the 2 with UC on top. Dick and Dom's Ask the Family has dropped out of the channel's top 30 programmes.

Channel 4s ratings are disappointing. Major film Spellbound only pulled in 1.5m viewers with The Simpsons only just rating above that. The channel's top programme by some distance is Supernanny with over 5m.

Challenge continue to prove their worth as a channel. Takeshi's Castle annihilated the final episode of The Osbournes by over 40,000 viewers. The Contender however continues to destroy all that stands in its way constantly standing above all other ITV2 programming. The boxing reality series currently registers over 500,000 viewers, massive by multi-channel standards.

Next Week
Coming up over the next 7 days you should watch the following.

The PartyPoker.com World Open comes to its climax tomorrow. Catch it all from 12:35am on Five.

Tsubasa Chronicle Episode 4 (The Innocent Vagabond) hits BitTorrent this week. Make sure you catch it, even if just to see Kurogane soften up.

Like I said earlier its the final of The Apprentice on Wednesday at 9pm.

Election night is Thursday. From 9:55pm on BBC1 and 10pm on ITV1. Get your mind off the gloom before voting with Ali G Indahouse on Wednesday at 9pm on ITV1 (which you've all seen at least 3 times already). Remember to cheer up after voting with The Robinsons (9pm BBC2), Dead Ringers Election Special (10pm BBC2) and Bremner, Bird and Fortune Election Special (10:40pm C4). Also be sure to recover from the morning after the night before with (ahem) THE ALL NEW BOTHER'S BAR!! on the 6th with a competition to win a big fat £50!

That's it. Also be sure as always to check out Rupert Goodwins' Diary on ZDNet UK and Iain Weaver on UKGameshows tomorrow.

On w00tworld

- Tomorrow look for a new w00tworld.
