Ride 1 - Spinball Whizzer
Nice one to start with. So I thought. This fucker absolutely flings the cars around the track which includes a climb and drop that rival Oblivion's drop. That and the cars are constantly spinning all the way round. Brilliantly designed and a lot of fun.
Ride 2 - Oblivion
Scary. After a 20 minute wait in line I eventually put my mp3 player on to calm down. The in-queue entertainment didn't help, 2 guys arguing over the safety of the ride "haven't you heard the screams?!". Eventually we reached the point of no return and some dickweed's camera caused our car to stall halfway up the climb. Not helping but eventually we got to the top and that now legendary pause just before the drop. Only one way from there.
Coming out the tunnel I let off a massive shout.
"YES! YES! FUCK YES!"
After that I got lumbered with the pushchair for Hex and Nemesis. I know you're meant to ride it, not sleep with it but with the glorious curves of Air in the background all I could think of was my god Nemesis is an ugly fucking ride. We looked in on Rita and didn't see it moving that fast. In fact it wasn't moving at all, it broke down.
Ride 3 - Air
Queue Time From This Point - 100 Minutes
Interesting tactic by the clearly knackered staff. The queue was not 100 minutes long. After queueing for 30 minutes (if that) we were in the station. Pretty cool affair. Neon blue signs indicating the 7 gates like some kind of futuristic airport. We boarded (not at the front unfortunately) and with the words "assume the position" we rose into the ride position which you probably know. I have never enjoyed any ride as much as I enjoyed that. 60 seconds of pure adrenaline driven fun. The drops and corkscrews don't have the same terrifying effect as Nemesis due to the fact that you're lying down. Its a brilliant feeling.
I grabbed a keyring on my way out through the shop.
I'm going back again in 3 weeks for my sister's birthday so then I'll do Rita, Nemesis and Air (again).
